The NYO program aims to organize the meeting between the demands of young people in terms of civic training, social integration and economic promotion and the offers provided by government and non-government programs. It is also intended to produce cross-cutting statistics between the demands of young people and the offers made available to them in order to facilitate decision-making.

The Special Three Year Youth Plan is an initiative launched by the President of the Republic, H.E Paul BIYA to act as bail out measures to the various problems faced by the Youths of Cameroon. In order to materialize this plan, the Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education has put in place a project for the Implementation of the National Youth Observatory. The Observatory serves as an intermediary between the youths and the available offers for them. It is a great opportunity for young people between the ages of 15 and 35. It targets the registration of at least 500.000 youths and subsequently orientates them for social integration and economic empowerment.
